Below please find Bob Freeman's latest attempt to keep funding a program we cannot afford, and my reply to him. You can link directly to him from his post. It takes only a minute.
Please send Mr. Freeman a note and remind him, in your own words, why programs like this fail and must end. Feel free to offer suggestions of your own too. Thanks for your time.
Dear Mr. Freeman, A better solution would be for PA to get out of the insurance business altogether, lighten the tax burden on insurance companies who are willing to offer "basic" plans for low income households, put forth a solid tort reform plan to limit medical liability lawsuits, and work with other states to compel the Federal government to lift restrictions which would directly allow insurance companies to compete across state lines. We cannot afford, as a state, to keep funding programs for issues that should and can be dealt with in the private sector.
That's the short answer. Please contact me if you are serious about representing all your constituents and not just the voting block you keep enslaved with hand-outs. I have ideas that will help them help themselves to improve their lives without having to turn to the government. Sincerely, Ronnie DelBacco
